William Robert “Bill” Lippincott

William Robert “Bill” Lippincott , age 86, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017. Graveside Service: 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 7, 2017, Brooklyn Memorial Cemetery, Brooklyn, with Rev. John Reynolds, Jr. officiating. There will be no visitation. Kloster Funeral Home of Brooklyn is in charge of arrangements.

Bill was born February 3, 1931 in Grinnell, Iowa the son of James and Mabel Orr Lippincott. He graduated from Brooklyn High School in 1949 and served in the U.S. Army from 1952 - 1954. Upon his discharge from the service, Bill returned to Iowa and was employed with Grinnell College and Grinnell Telecommunications. He also spent time building bridges.

Bill enjoyed reading, playing Ping Pong and Croquet, and attending car races. He was a member of the Brooklyn American Legion.
