William F. Wilcox, age 78 of Brooklyn, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at his home. A Memorial Service and Inurnment will be at a later date. A memorial fund has been established in Bill’s name. Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn is assisting the family with arrangements.
William was born October 11, 1942 in Victor, Iowa, the son of William and Frances Cram Wilcox. He received his education in the area schools, and married Judy Urfer on July 23, 1966 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brooklyn. The couple resided in Brooklyn for their entire married life of 54 years.
Bill was employed over 46 years with a manufacturing company that made wood pallets for Amana. He also worked with Hansen Construction. In his free time Bill enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved all animals, especially his Golden Retrievers.
Bill is survived by his wife Judy; a son Brian (Jessica) of Brooklyn; two grandsons, Connor and Spencer; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Kyler, a sister Shirley, and a brother Jerry.
