Wesley Lunsford

Wesley Lunsford, 22, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011, at his home. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011, from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Faith Christian Outreach Church, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. that evening. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 17th at the Faith Christian Outreach Church with Pastor Monte Knudsen officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. The son of Lonnie D. and Melanie (Hall) Lunsford, Wesley was born on July 20, 1988, in Kirksville, MO. In 2007 he graduated from Frederick Christian Academy, Frederick, Maryland as class valedictorian. Wesley was a full-time student at Lee University in Cleveland, TN for two years. His hobbies included soccer, baseball, and basketball. He belonged to the American Christian Honor Society and the Royal Rangers. He was an active member of the Faith Christian Outreach Church. Along with his parents, Wesley is survived by two sisters, Andrea and Michaela Lunsford all of Mt. Pleasant, IA, a paternal grandmother, Lauraly Veatch of Ottumwa, IA, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, paternal grandfather and one aunt.
