H. Wayne Kurtz of Highland Ridge in Williamsburg, Iowa, passed into a new life on Monday, July 4, 2011. Wayne was born on September 1, 1917, to Homer and Beulah (Korf) Kurtz, near Keota, Iowa where he later farmed. On January 30, 1940, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Wade at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. They had recently celebrated their 71st anniversary. He was a former member of the Scotland Presbyterian Church, South English. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and farming. He is survived by his wife Evelyn of Williamsburg; 2 daughters Susanne (Doug) Wolrab of Cedar Rapids and Katherine (Ted) Rogers of Center Point; 2 grandsons Kelly & Joel Rogers and 2 great granddaughters Brexlyn & Joah Rogers. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Robert Kurtz. There will be no services at this time. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
