Warren John Hinzman

Warren J. Hinzman, age 84, of Middle Amana, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Colonial Manor of Amana. A private graveside service will be held at the Middle Amana Cemetery, with Elder Tony Berger officiating. Memorials may be directed to Essence of Life Hospice or the Safe Haven of Iowa County. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is caring for Warren and his family.

Warren is survived by his wife Jean, his children, Joanne McCloskey (Don Tomas), Janette (Phil) Brown, Jacquelynn Hinzman, Clinton (Melissa) Hinzman, and Lincoln Hinzman (Susie Beahm); 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Warren John Hinzman was born April 24, 1940, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Earl and Fern Douglas Hinzman. He attended school in Middle Amana. Warren was united in marriage to Norma Jean Roemig on January 14, 1961, in Middle Amana. Warren worked for Amana Farms for over 40 years, retiring in 2007.
