Walter Kron

Walter Leroy Kron was born August 24, 1926 in Riverside, Iowa, the son of Roy and Della (Kucera) Kron. Walter served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On August 17, 1948 Walter was united in marriage to Dorothy Kolosiek at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Richmond. He farmed, did television repair and enjoyed working outdoors. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Walter died Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Pleasantview Home in Kalona at the age of 89 years.
Walter is survived by a son Randy Kron of Kalona. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy in 2006, and a daughter Cathy Kron.

Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Richmond. Rev. David Brownfield PhD. will officiate. Burial will be in the Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home. A memorial fund has been established for Pleasantview Home.
