WILLIAMSBURG- Walter James "Buck" Reinhart, was born February 22, 1927, in Victor, Iowa, the son of Clarence Charles John and Sara Hazel (Gerard) Reinhart. He attended Millersburg Schools and later attended Kirkwood Community College. He was a Boatsmate 2nd Class in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He was a farmer, tiling contractor, real estate and insurance agent. He was also a Vermeer Dealer and worked at the English Valley Care Center. On June 23, 1948, he was united in marriage to Helen Louise Spading in Marengo, Iowa, she passed away in April 1975. On January 15, 1979, he married Doris Lenore Lydens Butler in Ft. Charlotte, FL, she passed away in November 1994. On September 23, 1995, he married Margaret Louise Creps Hanke in Williamsburg. Buck was a member of the Millersburg United Methodist Church. He was a past member fo the Shriners, Conistory, and past Master of the Masonic Lodge. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, 50 year member of the American Legion and served on the DRM school board. He enjoyed hunting and woodworking. Buck died on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at the VA Hospital in Iowa City, at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife Margaret of Williamsburg; his children: Gary (Judith) Reinhart of Miami Beach, FL, Neal (Carma) Reinhart of Olive Branch, MS, James (Delores) Reinhart of North English, Debra (Randy) Grimm and Brenda (Doug) Wiebold of Williamsburg; two stepdaughters Julia Himmesbach of Atkins and Sherry Ruff of Reading, CA; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a sister Lottie Winkler of Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife Helen; 2nd wife Doris; and two sisters Phyllis Reinhart and Doris Seaton. Celebration of Life Service will be 10:00 am on Saturday, December 5, 2009, at the Millersburg United Methodist Church in Millersburg. Pastor Ben Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in the Millersburg Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 pm with a VFW service at 7:00 pm at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg.
