Vincent P. Kriegel, age 65, of Brooklyn passed away at his home Wednesday, January 6, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 9, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Brooklyn with Father Corey Close officiating. A scripture service for the family will be at 2:30 P.M. Public visitation: 3:00 – 6:00 P.M., Friday, January 8, 2021 at Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. Masks and social distancing will be required. Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn is assisting the family with arrangements.
Vince is survived by his children, Mindy (Brad) Evans of Brooklyn, Nicole (Brian) Spensley of Lexington, SC., and Ross Kriegel (Sabrina Lowery) of Des Moines; six grandchildren Morgan Evans of Brooklyn, Andrew and Jonathan Spensley of Lexington, SC., and Carter, Catherine, and Caroline Kriegel of Grinnell; his siblings, Francis (Marilyn) Kriegel of Victor, Jane (Mike) Glasford of Sioux Falls, SD., Raphael Kriegel of Montezuma, Theresa (Tom) Goeke of Newton, Elizabeth (Chuck) Cretin of Eldora, Margaret Carlton (Darrell Beason) of Brooklyn, David (Chelle) Kriegel of Laurel, Dorothy (Nathan) Allen of Winterset, Theodore (Tammy) Kriegel of Brooklyn, and Agnes (James) Crabtree of Brooklyn.
He was preceded in death by his two sons, Lloyd Vincent and Walter James; his parents; two siblings, Tom Kriegel and Joanne Phillips; a brother-in-law, Gary Phillips; and a sister-in-law, Diane Blomme Kriegel.
Vincent Paul Kriegel was born December 18, 1955 in Grinnell, Iowa the son of William and Catherine Pfiffner Kriegel. He graduated from BGM with the class of 1975. Vince was united in marriage to Victoria Ann Bartosh on July 29, 1978 in Belle Plaine. The couple later divorced. Vince was dedicated to his work, spending most of his life as a truck driver and farmer. In his spare time he enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family.
