Williamsburg- Vicki M. Carter, age 67 of Williamsburg was born November 14, 1954, in Sigourney. The daughter of Bernard and Charlene (Banes) Lowe. She graduated from Prairie High School in Cedar Rapids. She lived in North English and Swisher before moving to Williamsburg. She was united in marriage to Lyle Carter on September 16,1978 at the Presbyterian church in shueyville, IA. Vicki had a strong passion for knitting stocking caps and donating them to the Hall-Perrine Cancer Center in Cedar Rapids and making jams and jellies for her business Carter Sweets. Where at one time she had 124 different flavors. She also enjoyed cooking at the Presbyterian Church on Thursday nights for the kids.
She is survived by her husband Lyle; a son Chad (Kara) Carter of Homestead; a daughter Katie Carter of Rochester, IA; three grandchildren Ava Garcia, Evelyn and Ethan Carter; and two brothers Steve and Duane Lowe of Cedar Rapids.
She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
A celebration of life memorial service will be 11:30 am Friday, August 12, 2022 at the First Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg. A visitation will be 9:30 am to service time Friday, August 12.
