Troy L. Moyle, 53 of Mt. Pleasant, IA passed away Friday, November 06, 2015, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics after a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will begin after 12 noon on Monday, November 9, 2015, at Olson~Powell Memorial Chapel where the family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. that evening. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at Faith Lutheran Church, with Reverend Mike Scudder officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Memorials have been established to St. Jude Children's Hospital and the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be directed to www.olsonpowell.com. Born September 28, 1962, in Marion, IA, Troy Lynn was the son of Marion M. and Maxine D. (Phelps) Moyle. He attended Oelwein High School. Troy served his country in the Iowa National Guard. On March 12, 2012, Troy married his soulmate and best friend Joyce Marie Karstens in Mt. Pleasant, IA. Troy was employed at the Wal-mart Distribution Center in Mt. Pleasant for 30 years, most recently in the maintenance department. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith at Faith Lutheran Church in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa surrounded by his loving family. Troy enjoyed spending time with his loving wife and greatest supporter, Joyce. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend. He especially treasured the time he spent with his children and many grandchildren. Troy was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan, and often proudly donned the team's purple and gold colors. Thanks to the generosity of his children, he was recently able to cheer for his beloved team in person in Minneapolis, MN. Troy also was able to travel to Winterset, IA with his wife to see his hero John Wayne's birthplace and museum prior to his death. He was often seen rocking out to the tunes of his favorite band, AC / DC. Troy had a great sense of humor and loved to make others laugh, especially his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honor and privilege to know and love him. Along with his wife, Joyce, Troy is survived by four sons, Cassidy (Carrie) Moyle, Austin (Jean) Stott, Alec Hull and Jace Hull, all of Mt. Pleasant, IA; three daughters, Jocelyn (Drew) Kelley of Salem, IA, Katie Moyle of Marion, IA, and Elizabeth Hull of Mt. Pleasant, IA; three brothers, Marciene (Lydia) Moyle of Tucson, AZ, Irv (Maurine) Moyle of Barling, AR, and Walter (Diana) Moyle of Mt. Pleasant, IA; and four sisters, Sandy (Paul) Koohy of Winthrop, IA, Florence (Dale) Strosaul of Marshall, MN, Dawn (Lonnie) Fox of Independence, IA, and Mary (Jack) Ohl of Oelwein, IA.
