Timothy Glenn Ingersoll, age 64 of Brooklyn, died Thursday evening, August 11, 2022, at the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 19, 2022 at New Beginnings Church, Brooklyn, Iowa with Pastor Josh Gerard officiating. Military honors will be conducted at the church. The family will receive friends from 9 to 11:00 A.M. on Friday at the church. Inurnment will be at a later date. A memorial fund has been established. Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn is assisting the family with arrangements.

Tim is survived by his wife Darla of Brooklyn; a daughter Brandi King of Brooklyn; and three grandchildren, Teagen, Jadeyn, and Addalyn King, all of Brooklyn. Also surviving are his siblings, Frank Ingersoll of Des Moines, Susan Ingersoll of Des Moines, Rose Ingersoll (Ron Jacobsen) of Des Moines, David Ingersoll of Washington State, James (Char) Ingersoll of Mason City, Karin Middleton of Mason City, Lori (Tyrone) Enderson of Perry, Robert (Kay) Ingersoll of Sheffield, and Ron (Marcia) Schisel of Florida, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his bonus mother who raised him, Marilyn Ingersoll, a sister Bonnie Sowers, a niece Jenny Korns, brother-in-law Steve Johnson, sisters-in-law Sandy Ingersoll and Janice Korns, and in-laws William and Janet Korns

Timothy was born May 23, 1958 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Wayne Frank Ingersoll and Beverly Rafferty. He attended the Mason City schools and enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 17. He and Darla Rhinehart were married November 19, 1980 at Grace United Methodist Church in Brooklyn. The couple made their home in Brooklyn. Tim worked in the plumbing field, owning Ingersoll Drain Repair. He also worked at the Tama packing house, the Brooklyn Housing Corporation in maintenance, and reading meters with Poweshiek County REC. Tim was an avid deer hunter, both bow and muzzeloader. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping with his family, vegetable gardening and cooking up the garden produce. But he especially loved to be around his grandchildren and being a part of all their activities.
