Tim Edwards

Timothy "Tim" J. Edwards, 47, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, died unexpectedly Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Henry County Health Center Emergency Room. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 2nd, from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m., at First United Methodist Church, 309 N. Main, Mt. Pleasant. The family will greet friends from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. that afternoon at the church. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, January 3rd, at First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Herb Shafer officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery near Stockport. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given in Tim's name to his family. Born November 13, 1963, Timothy Joe was the son of Maynard Joe and Carolyn Jean Harrison Edwards. He was a 1982 graduate of Van Buren High School and earned an Associates Degree in Agricultural Business from Southeastern Community College. Following graduation, Tim went to work at the Mt. Union/Winfield Prairie Ag Co-op and served as general manager. Tim treasured spending time with his family and found pleasure in all aspects of farming. He was an outstanding cook and especially well known for his delicious pork loin. Tim liked filling his free time boating and snowmobiling with family and friends. Survivors include the love of his life, Becky Andrew, and their son, Cameron Edwards, both of Mt. Pleasant, IA; a son, Justin Edwards and a daughter, Jenna Edwards, both of Mediapolis, IA; and his parents, Maynard and Carolyn Edwards of Stockport, IA. He is also survived by two sisters, Terri (Dana) Haub of Moulton, IA and Tina (Tony) Lyon of Reinbeck, IA, along with Becky's parents, Jim and Linda Andrew of Mt. Pleasant, IA. Tim was preceded in death by his grandparents.
