Tiet Cong Sui

Tiet Cong Sui,72, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017, at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.



Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Friday, November 17, 2017, at Olson~Powell Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Olson~Powell Memorial Chapel. Following the service, cremation will be accorded. Born September 11, 1945, in Vietnam, Sui was the son of Tiet Phu Cuong and Thai A Kim. He graduated from high school. Tiet Cong Sui married Luc Wa Hong. While living in Vietnam, he served alongside the United States Army during the Vietnam War.



Sui moved to the United States in 1997 and became a United States Citizen in 2015. He was a machine operator at Metro Group. Sui enjoyed staying active. He liked to fish and loved children.



Along with his loving wife, Hong, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Sui is survived by a son, Tiet Quoc Cuong of Iowa City, IA; a daughter, Tiet Le Phuong of Mt. Pleasant, IA; along with many other relatives in Vietnam.
