KEOTA-Thomas Lee Heisdorffer, age 56, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Keota, died Thursday, February 9, 2006, at his home in Mesa. Tom was born October 31, 1949, in Washington, Iowa, to Leo William and Dorothy (Sparks) Heisdorffer and graduated from Keota High School in 1967. He farmed in the Keota and Sigourney areas until moving to Arizona in the early 1990's, where he worked for Sun Country Custom Truck Accessories. Tom also served in the 872nd Light Maintenance Company of the Army Reserves. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish-Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and enjoyed cooking, barbequeing and camping in the mountains. Survivors include one son: Nikolos and wife Deanna Heisdorffer of Washington; two daughters: Tammy Heisdorffer of Des Moines and Angela and husband Christopher Fiscus of Clarksville, Tennessee; three grandchildren: Amanda Fiscus, Leigha and Trenton Heisdorffer; his mother: Dorothy Heisdorffer of Keota; two brothers: Michael and wife Kathy Heisdorffer of Keota and Stephen and wife Pam Heisdorffer of Harper and one sister: Mary Pat and husband Jerry Keeler of Brighton. He was preceded in death by his father: Leo in 1988. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2006, at Holy Trinity Parish-Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in rural Harper with Rev. Marty Goetz officiating. Burial will be at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2006, at the Powell Funeral Home in Keota, where there will be a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the American Heart Association. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Keota is handling the arrangements.
