Thomas E. Heath

Thomas E. Heath, age 61, of Iowa City, formerly of Dubuque, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Graveside Memorial Mass: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn, with Father Corey Close officiating. Memorials may be directed to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital Fund. Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn is assisting the family with arrangements.

Thomas is survived by his sister, Anne (Adam) Diab of Warrenville, IL; a nephew, Adam Heath of Cedar Rapids; and a sister in law, Julie Heath of Cedar Rapids; and an uncle, Father Philip Ryan of Brooklyn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John and James Heath and a sister Mary Heath.

Thomas Edward Heath was born May 19, 1959 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Lenard and Joan (Ryan) Heath. He graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1977 and later earned his degree in accounting. Thomas loved socializing with everyone, talking politics, current events, and sports. He was a huge Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed Hawkeye Football along with men and women’s basketball.
