Thomas Richard Babcock

Wellman-Thomas Richard Babcock was born May 20, 1956, in Wausau, Wisconsin. The son of Thomas and Marian (Stubbe) Babcock. He attended school in the Chicago area. Tom was united in marriage to Monica Butterbaugh on May 23, 1998, at a cabin on the river near Iowa City, Iowa. They have lived in Solon, Tiffin, Iowa City and Olds. Tom worked as a truck driver most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, camping, BBQ, rock concerts and watching movies. Tom died on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at his home at the age of 68 years.

He is survived by his wife Monica; two sons, Jason (Ashley) Babcock of El Dorado Springs, Missouri and Adam (Amanda) Babcock of Springfield, Missouri; two stepsons, Aaron Huffman of Olds and Justin (Nicole Damon) Huffman of Pekin, Illinois; 6 grandchildren, Payton and Trey Babcock, Jarren Tayler, Macy, Morgan and Maddox Babcock; four siblings, Linda (Mike) Morgan of South Carolina, Jacob Babcock of Hills, Sharon Hole of Iowa City and Larry Babcock of Anamosa. He is also survived by his beloved puppies Mari-jane and Luci and a cat Bitty. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Patricia Crowe.
