Parnell- Terrance Patrick. Finnegan was born May 2, 1938, in Iowa City, Iowa the son of John & Ellen (Lenaghan) Finnegan. He graduated from Parnell High School in 1958. On June 4, 1960, he was united in marriage to Patricia Collins at St. Michael's Catholic Church, in Holbrook, Iowa. He was a life long resident of the Parnell area. He was a life long farmer and retired from Williamsburg Manufacturing. Terry was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Holbrook. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal's fan and enjoyed gardening, spending time on the farm and being with his family. Terry died on Friday, November 11, 2011 at University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City, at the age of 73 years. He is survived by his children: Mike (Kathy) Finnegan,of Parnell Juliann (Colin) Dorothy of Hamilton, IL and Joann Finnegan of Parnell and Mark (Denise) Finnegan of Walker, IA; and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Patricia; 4 brothers: John, Leo, Tom & Vince; 6 sisters: Mary Kempf, Eileen South, Irene Bergen, Margaret Swick, Sister Marie Finnegan and Ione Lawrence. Funeral Mass will be held on 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Williamsburg. Fr. Joseph Roost will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Holbrook. Visitation will be Monday from 3-7 PM, with a prayer service at 3:00PM at the Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg.
