Tammy Jo Mast was born on August 16, 1964 in Washington, IA, the daughter of Floyd and Opal Campbell Brown. She attended school in Keota and later graduated from English Valleys High School in North English. She lived in the South English and North English areas and on February 12, 1983 married Rollin Mast in Keota. Since their marriage the have made their home near Kinross. Tammy loved her family and enjoyed attending their sporting events. She was an avid reader of romance and mystery novels. She worked a short time as a CNA at the English Valley Care Center and most recently as the dispatcher and bookkeeper for Mast Trucking. Tammy died suddenly at her home near Kinross on Wednesday, May 14, 2008. She lived 43 years, 8 months and 28 days. She is survived by her husband Rollin Mast of Kinross; children: Benjamin Mast and special friend Tiffany Young and son Dayne of Vinton, IA; Chelsy, Courtney and Maleah Mast all at home; brothers Ronald Brown of Memphis, MO & Jeff Brown of Harper, IA; sisters Rose Coffman of South English, IA & Judy Brown of Marshall, MO; and step-mother Charlotte Brown of Keota, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, May 19, 2008, at the English River Church of the Brethren near South English. Rev. Marvin Hostetler will officiate. Burial will be in the Keota Cemetery, Keota, IA. Visitation will be held at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North English on Sunday, May 18th from 4 PM to 8 PM. Tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com under obituaries. A General Memorial Fund has been established.
