KEOTA-Talbert "Buzzy" Tadlock, age 93, of Keota, died Friday, April 11, 2014, at Maplewood Manor in Keota. Buzzy was born February 11, 1921, in Oxford, Iowa, to Talbert Columbus and Clyde (Mahoney) Tadlock and graduated from Kinross High School in 1939. He served in Europe with the U.S. Army during World War II. On June 26, 1946, he married Kathryn Hart at her grandmother's home in Delta. Buzzy worked at the International Harvester dealership in Keota until 1963, when he purchased it and renamed it Tadlock, Inc. He retired in 1986. Buzzy was a member of the United Church of Faith and Keota V.F.W. Post #4716. He spent many hours working on mechanical equipment and enjoyed following his grandkids' activities. Survivors include two sons: John (Kate) Tadlock of Port Byron, Illinois and Keith (Sandy) Tadlock of Friendswood, Texas; five grandchildren: Michael Tadlock, David (Becky) Tadlock, Amber Tadlock, Kristen Tadlock and Madelyn Tadlock; sister-in-law: Marilee Hart of McHenry, Illinois and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Kathryn in 2011; brothers and sisters: Chelsea (Tom) Fleming, Clarice (Bill) Loan, Ralph (Doris) Tadlock, Irene (Telford) Larew, Harold (Muriel) Tadlock, Ruth (Everett) Faas, Grace (Orville) Morrison (Clarence) Stoner, Raymond (Dorothy) Tadlock, Thomas Tadlock, Theron Tadlock and Hazel (John) Suter. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at the United Church of Faith, with Pastor Sheldon Henderson officiating. Burial will be at Keota Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2014, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota. A general memorial fund has been established.
