Williamsburg-Susan Faye Glandorf was born December 19, 1951 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Norman and Marjean (Halverson) Glandorf. She attended Trinity Lutheran School in Conroy and graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1970.. Susan worked for the Linn County Courthouse for 32 years retiring in May of 2008. She lived in Cedar Rapids for a number of years before moving to Williamsburg in May of 2009. Susan enjoyed making greeting cards, doing crossword puzzles and especially enjoyed her retirement and spending time with family. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Conroy. Susan died Thursday, November 12, 2009 at her home after a sudden illness at the age of 57 years. Susan is survived by her parents: Norman & Marjean Glandorf of Williamsburg; two sisters: Brenda Glandorf of Freeport, Illinois and Linda (Orie) Yoder of Williamsburg; a brother: Steven (Rhonda) Glandorf of Parnell; three nieces: Tia (Wade) Samo of Urbandale, Tara Glandorf of Las Vegas and Laura Glandorf of Rock Island, Illinois and a nephew: Jesse Yoder of Williamsburg. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and one infant brother: Stuart Glandorf. Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 am Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Conroy. Pastor Gary Sears will officiate. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 pm to 7:00pm at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg. Memorials are for the Trinity Lutheran Church or Lutheran Interparish School.
