SOUTH ENGLISH-Susan Elizabeth Coffman, age 42, of South English, died suddenly Thursday, June 21, 2007, at her home. Susan was born May 23, 1965, in Iowa City, to Richard and Mary Jo (Hannemann) Villhauer. She graduated from City High School in Iowa City in 1983 and massage therapy school in Cedar Rapids. On November 14, 1987 she married Brent A. Coffman at the English River Church of the Brethren near South English. Susan was an active member of the English River Church of the Brethren where she taught vacation bible school. She also volunteered at the North English Community Center, where she helped with meals-on-wheels. She loved her children, who were her life. Survivors include her husband: Brent of South English; two children: Ambrose Alan and Ella Elizabeth, both at home; step-daughter: Maegen Elizabeth of Cedar Rapids; parents: Dick Villhauer and wife Kathy of Iowa City and Mary Jo Villhauer of Oxford; sister: Sally Fisher and husband Brad of Oxford and two nieces: Stephanie and Morgan Fisher. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Charles and Dorothy Hannemann and Carl and Elouise Villhauer. A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2007, at the English River Church of the Brethren near South English with Pastors Beth Miller and Jim Bringman officiating. Burial will be at the Brethren Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for her children. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North English is handling the arrangements.
