South English- Steven Lloyd Frederick, was born September 2 1953, in Sigourney, Iowa, the son of Edwin Earl and Betty Louise Hearn Frederick. He graduated from English Valley High School in 1971. He worked for Multi-County Oil in North English for many years. He enjoyed fishing and Nascar. Steve died on Monday, July 18, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City at the age of 57 years. He is survived by a daughter Brittany (Jereme Goltz) Van Zante of West Amana; a sister Brenda (Johnny) Peppers of Blue Springs, MO; 5 brothers: Fritz (Del) of North English, Craig (Becky) of Keota, Marlin (Jan) of Webster, Raymond of South English and Brent (LeAnn) of Williamsburg. He was preceded in death by his parents. Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 AM on Friday, July 22, 2011, at Powell Funeral Home, North English. Burial will be in the South English Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-7 PM at Powell Funeral Home. A general memorial fund has been established.
