Steven H Axmear

North English- Steven H. Axmear was born March 3, 1950 in Sigourney, Iowa, the son of Kenneth Eugene & Joan Corine (Herdliska) Axmear. He graduated from Tri-County High School in 1968. On October 6, 1972 Steve was united in marriage to Marvel Ann McCallister, together they farmed in the North English area. He enjoyed playing cards and hunting. Steve died on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at his home near North English at the age of 67 years.

He is survived by his wife Marvel of North English; three children Corby (Tonya) Axmear of North English, Connie (Preston) Young of Montezuma and Steven (Stacy) Axmear of North English; eleven grandchildren Austin Axmear, Katelynn (fiancé Brody Barthelman) Axmear, Brittany (Kyle Hamilton) Bender, Zachary Axmear, Isaiah Bender, Jordon Bender, Kennedy Axmear, Macy Young, Kayl Young, Kane Axmear & Kinnick Axmear; two sisters Carolyn (Deuce) Heying of Calmar, Deanna (Doug) Valley of Still Water, Oklahoma; and a brother Fred (Patty) Axmear of Decorah. He was preceded by his parents and two brothers Richard & Robert Axmear.

Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the Powell Funeral Home in North English. Burial will be in the South English Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 am until service time. Memorials may be given to the English Valleys Citizens' Scholarship Foundation- Ag Scholarship.
