SIGOURNEY-Shirley Ann Steinhart, age 89, of Sigourney, formerly of Keswick, died Monday, February 3, 2025, at her home.

 Shirley was born May 1, 1935, in What Cheer, the daughter of Estel and Marie (Hamilton) Moore and graduated from Delta High School. On June 21, 1953, she married Harold A. Steinhart at the Sigourney United Methodist Church. The couple lived and farmed near Keswick for 40 years until moving into Keswick for 20 years. They then moved to Sigourney in 2015. Shirley also worked at First Trust and Savings Bank in Sigourney from 1980 until 1995. She was a 4-H leader for several years and was a member of the Keswick and Sigourney United Methodist Churches, Keswick American Legion Auxiliary, the United Methodist Women, Red Hat Society in Sigourney and the Holiday Rambler RV Club. Shirley enjoyed her grandchildren, quilting, sewing, RVing, baking and gardening.

 Survivors include her husband of 71 years: Harold of Sigourney; four children: Jeffrey (Bruce Ackland) Steinhart of New York, New York, Kevin (Susan) Steinhart of Webster, Diane (Ron) Russo of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Laurie (Alan) Conrad of Basehor, Kansas; six grandchildren: Tristan (Kirstan) Conrad, Tyler (Jessie) Conrad, Maggie (Austin) Taylor, Trey Conrad, Ali (Will) Peltier and Tanner Conrad; seven great grandchildren: Crosby, Beckett, Charlotte, Noah, Harrison, Josephine and Callie; two sisters: Loretta Dugger of Oskaloosa and Patty Norcross of Ames and a brother: Gilbert Moore of Spokane, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents: James and Gertrude Hamilton and Roy and Dell Moore, many aunts and uncles.

 Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Sigourney United Methodist Church, with Pastor Brandi Meyer officiating. Burial will be at Sorden Cemetery near Keswick. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Powell Funeral Home in Sigourney.

 A memorial fund has been established for Essence of Life Hospice. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Sigourney is caring for Shirley and her family. Tributes may be made at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
