Williamsburg-Sherly (Sherry) Marie Martin was born January 12, 1949 in Sigourney, Iowa, the daughter of Calvin and Martha Jane (Northup) Martin. She attended school in Conroy, Sigourney and Marengo. She later attended Kirkwood Community College. Sherry was united in marriage to Jerry Beck in 1984, they later divorced. Later she found a special friend Jeff Keasling in which she spend a number of years together until his death in 2007. Sherry died Friday, October 15, 2010 at her home in Williamsburg at the age of 61 years. She is survived by a son: Roger Schropp; two daughters: Holly (Matt) Slye of Williamsburg and Sarah Davisson (Adam Wentling); a step daughter: Brandy Pryor of Ottumwa; three grandchildren: Isaac Wentling, Addison Slye and Andrew Slye; three step grandchildren: Kaysha and Loriane Dodson and Brooklyn Pryor; two sisters: Nancy Shifflett of Williamsburg and Helen (Kenny) Doehrmann of Parnell; three brothers: Lowell (Karen) Martin, David (Bonnie) Martin and Ron Martin all of Marengo. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents; two nephews: Heath Martin and John Martin; special friend Jeff Keasling and an aunt: Della Allum and a cousin: Karen Hohle. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Williamsburg. Pastor James Parks and Pastor Jane Shroyer will officiate.
