Sheila Jane Huedepohl

Sheila Jane Huedepohl, age 68 of Marengo, died Thursday, December 31, 2020 at her home. Public Graveside Service and Inurnment: 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the Marengo Cemetery, Marengo, with Rev. Anni Thorn officiating. Memorials may be contributed to Safe Haven of Iowa County. Masks and social distancing are required. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is assisting the family.

Sheila is survived by her husband Terry; a son Shawn of Omaha; and daughter Heidi Knapp (David) of Marengo; five grandchildren, Jenna Prior (Aaron) of Marengo, Collin Huedepohl of Omaha, Camden Huedepohl of Omaha, Conner Knapp of Marengo, and Caden Knapp of Marengo. Also surviving are a sister Shirley Slaymaker (Don) of Marengo and a brother David Feckley (Suzy) of Wylie, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Dennis Feckley.

Sheila Jane was born July 22, 1952 to Keith and Anna VanWaus Feckley. She attended the Marshalltown schools and Iowa Valley High School in Marengo, graduating in 1970. She and Terry Lee Huedepohl were married January 22, 1972 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Marengo. Sheila operated a daycare service for 14 years, then worked at the Me Too for 4 years, and most recently was employed with American Color Graphics for 25 years.

Sheila’s utmost love was her family. She cherished the time attending the grandchildren’s sporting events. The family enjoyed time at the lake, boating and water skiing. Sheila‘s hobbies included antiquing, reading, crocheting and doing puzzles.
