NORTH ENGLISH-Serenity Stecklein, age four days, of North English, died suddenly Monday, May 21, 2007, at her home. Serenity was born May 17, 2007, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, to Natasha Stecklein. Survivors include her mother; grandparents: Nick Stecklein and Holly Stecklein, both of North English; three uncles: Timothy, Thomas and Nicholas Stecklein; one aunt: Lorretta Rogerson and great grandparents: Jim and Shirley Stecklein of Bernard. She was preceded in death by her great grandparents: Bill Rogerson and Lorraine Wedlund. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2007 at the Powell Funeral Home in North English with Pastor Scott Young officiating. Burial will be at South English Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the family. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North English will be handling the arrangements.
