Selena Barnes

Wellman- Selena Jean Barnes was born November 30, 1939 in Iowa City, IA. The daughter of Dorothy Adams and father Roy Gascho. She attended the Wellman High School, and lived in the Wellman area all her life. Selena worked at Parkview Manor for a number of years. On October 5, 1958 Selena was united in marriage to Dennis J. Barnes in Wellman. Selena passed away Monday, April 5, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City at the age of 81.

Selena is survived by three children: Del (Fritz) Frederick of North English, Mace (Kimberly) Barnes of Olds and Holly Hamilton of Wisconsin; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and a brother Danny Gascho of Wellman. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Marty Barnes and an infant son.

Celebration Of Life Gathering will be from 1:00 to 3:00 pm Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. A general memorial fund has been established.
