Cedar Rapids- Sally Louise Long was born July 4, 1965 in Sigourney, Iowa the daughter of Russell & Helen (Young) Bucher. She graduated from English Valleys High School in 1983 and Iowa State University in 1987 with a BS in Communications. Throughout the years Sally worked at Williamsburg Manufacturing, Montezuma Manufacturing and altered clothes for others. She was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority and St. Joseph Catholic Church, North English. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, crafts, going to concerts and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Sally died on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at her home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at the age of 51 years.

Sally is survived by her children Russell (Lydia) Chittick of Holbrook, Matthew (friend Lindsey Williams) Chittick of Parnell and a daughter Brooke Long of South English; two grandchildren Robbie and Emily Chittick of Holbrook; her parents Russell & Helen Bucher of South English; a sister Deb (Mark) Anderson of West Branch; a brother Michael Bucher of South English; and her two former husbands: Robert Chittick of Williamsburg and Edward Long of South English. She was preceded by her grandparents Leo & Helen Bucher and Kenneth & Florence Young.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home & Cremation Service, North English. Burial will be held at a later date in the North English Cemetery.
