Sally Glandon

SIGOURNEY-Sally L. Glandon, age 92, of Sigourney, died Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney.
    Sally was born August 29, 1931, in Sigourney, to Harold and Lucille (Tracy) Jones and graduated from Sigourney High School. On January 11, 1964, she married Ardith Glandon in Sigourney. A lifelong Sigourney resident, Sally was a homemaker and baby sitter for several years. She was a member of the Sigourney Christian Church, where she served as a Deaconess and sang in the choir. Sally enjoyed watching college and pro basketball, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes, reading, working on her puzzle books and collecting various novelties throughout her life.
    Sally will be missed by her husband: Ardith; five children: Doug (Lynne) Glandon of Sigourney; Gary Glandon and fiancé Rita Going of Grinnell, Ron (Elizabeth) Glandon of Creve Couer, Missouri, Janet (Steve) Cooley of Holden, Massachusetts and Mike (Mary) Glandon of Auburn, Illinois; son-in-law: Matt Kruschinska; 13 grandchildren and their spouses: Christopher (Amy) Glandon, Jennifer (Jeff) Martin, Sarah (Jeff) Holden, Rebecca (Allen) Taylor, Samantha (Mike) Stasiak, Ron (Faith) Glandon, Nick (Alexa) Glandon, Kristin (Jerry) Fish, Megan (Joey) DeFilippo, Cortney (Ben Roth) Trencevski, Jacob (Casey) Glandon, Caitlin (Ryan) Graham and Jeremy (Lindsey) Glandon and 25 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Julie Kruschinska and daughter-in-law: Edwina “Jay” Glandon.

    Private family services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Powell Funeral Home in Sigourney.  The service will also be livestreamed on the Powell Funeral Home Facebook page.  Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sigourney.
