Ruth Pauline Brenneman

Ruth Pauline Brenneman was born March 5, 1922 in rural Parnell, Iowa, the daughter of Vernon and Sadie (Yoder) Marner. Ruth lived in the Wellman area all her life, where she was a homemaker. On January 2, 1946 Ruth was united in marriage to Willard S. Brenneman at the Wellman Mennonite Church in Wellman. Ruth was a member of the Wellman Mennonite Church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, was a member of WMSC, The Birthday Club, and volunteered at the Washington Township Elementary School. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening, canning, cooking, spending time with her family and dog Sadie. Ruth passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015 with her family by her side at her home in Wellman at the age of 93 years.

Ruth is survived by her 5 children; Duane (Emma Lee) Brenneman of Wellman, Donald (Margie) Brenneman of Telford, PA. Kathleen (Allen) Schlabach, Karol (Lori) Brenneman, and Loren "Pete" Brenneman all of Wellman. 8 grandchildren 11 great grandchildren, and a sister Fanni (Wilbur) Birky of Goshen, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Willard, 2 grandsons Jeffery and Michael; 4 brothers; Galen, Robert, Dale, and Kenneth Marner, and a sister Mary Etta Mayard.

Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 AM Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Wellman Mennonite Church in Wellman. Burial will be in the Wellman Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, June 28, 2015 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman.
