WILLIAMSBURG: Ruth M. Pritchard was born on Wednesday, July 24, 1918 in Golden Gate, Illinois, the daughter of Rev. J. B. and Goldia E. Cox Pritchard. She graduated from Deep River High School in 1936. Ruth worked as a church secretary in a number of churches and, after moving to Williamsburg in 1962, worked as a secretary for several local businesses. She was a member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Williamsburg and was a former member of the U.M.W. Ruth died on Thursday, November 11, 2004 at the Williamsburg Care Center after an extended illness, at the age of 86 years, 3 months and 18 days. Ruth is survived by a sister, Juanita Jones and husband Owen of Williamsburg; two nieces and six nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Celebration of Life Services are set for 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 15, 2004, at the Uhlmann - Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg with Rev. James Parks and Rev Edwin Jordan officiating. Burial is in the Pilot Grove Cemetery. A General Memorial Fund has been established.
