HARPER-Ruth Ann Adam, age 72, of Muscatine, formerly of Harper, died Wednesday, January 12, 2005, at the Riverbend Nursing and Rehab Center in Muscatine following a lengthy illness. Ruth Ann was born July 18, 1932, in rural Harper, to Peter J. and Pearl Adam. She moved to Muscatine in May of 2003. Ruth Ann was a member of Holy Trinity Parish-St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota. Survivors include four sisters: Verda (Mrs. John W.) Sieren of Keota, Verena (Mrs. Dale) Snakenberg of Sigourney, Oda (Mrs. Eugene) Reed of Fairfield and Edith (Mrs. Leo) Warnick of Delta and two brothers: Elmer M. Adam of Fairfield and Harry Joe Adam of Columbus Junction. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 16, 2005, at the Holy Trinity Parish-St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota with Rev. Marty Goetz officiating. Burial will be at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Harper. There will be no public visitation. A memorial fund has been established for the Holy Trinity Parish or Hospice. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Keota is handling the arrangements.
