Russell Bruce Ross

Russell Bruce Ross, 66, of Mt. Pleasant, IA died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at his home. There will be no formal services or visitation. Cremation will be accorded following Bruce's wishes. The Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel assisted with the arrangements. Born September 8, 1947, Bruce was the son of Cecile Carnahan and Lewis Ross, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, IA. Bruce spent his formative years in Mt. Pleasant where he graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. Bruce loved being a partner, father and grandfather, in which he was magnificent to all of his family. He was a faithful member of the Catholic Church with a devout love of God and his church. Survivors include a son, Thomas William Ross; two step-daughters, Holly Ann Farr, of Clinton, IA and Sarah Schillerstrom of Fairfield, IA. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and his significant other, Kathleen DeMent.
