NORTH ENGLISH- Roxine "Roxie" (Wade) Van Dee, age 60, of North English, died Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at her niece's home in North English following a long illness.
Roxie was born February 11, 1955, in Sigourney, to Max and Joan Wade and graduated from English Valleys High School. She married Kenny Miller in 1979 and became a resident of Wellman for many years. They were later divorced. She married Terry "Butch" Van Dee in 2007 and resided in North English. Roxie worked for many years at Kalona Plastics, Inc. In the summer months, Roxie could be found sunbathing in her pool with a Pepsi in hand. During the fall and winter, she enjoyed making her famous Christmas candies and cookies. She was an avid baker, and enjoyed planting flowers, including her cactus, camping, canoe trips to the river, spending time with her family and friends, especially grandsons, Hunter and Hayden, and great nieces Peityn and Vaia and great nephew Abel. She most recently enjoyed taking her convertible for a drive.
Survivors include: a husband Terry "Butch" Van Dee; a daughter: Jennifer Rowe; stepdaughter: Brittney Haworth; grandchildren: Hunter and Hayden Rowe, Anastasia Haworth; her parents: Max and Joan Wade; siblings: Jackie Eckert (Marty), Debbie Shipley, Marsha (Dan) Vinson, Mike Wade, Jeff (Cindy) Wade; a mother-in-law: Geraldine Van Dee; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation will be held from 3-6pm on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Powell Funeral Home in North English. A general memorial fund has been established.
