Williamsburg-Ronald David Madoerin was born December 6, 1948 in Williamsburg, the son of Erich and Stella Esther (Bertschi) Madoerin. He graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1967, he also graduated from Kirkwood Community College in 1969. Ron has worked for Rockwell Collins in Coralville for 15 years. Ron enjoyed collecting key chains, watching the Hawkeyes, NASCAR and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Ron died Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City at the age of 62 years. He is survived by his mother: Esther of Williamsburg; three sisters: Carol (Ernie) Rigel of Cedar Rapids, Sandra Myers of Aurora CO and Nancy (Jerry) Weldon of Parnell and a brother: Kevin (Delora) Madoerin of Williamsburg and a number of nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his father in 2001 and a brother Albert in infancy. Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be 10:30 Monday, May 2, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Pastor Carl Cloeter will officiate. Burial will be at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg.
