Ronald Dean Kinzler

Millersburg-Ronald Dean Kinzler was born January 7, 1946, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Wallace and Coila Roine (Ridenour) Kinzler. He attended school at Deep-River Millersburg. On June 4, 1962, Ron was united in marriage to Phyllis Jean Cover. He was a highway engineer for Advanced Drainage Systems and farmed later on. He enjoyed mowing with his Cub Cadet, helping with spring planting and harvest, traveling and sightseeing, his dogs, the Kansas City Royals, singing in quartets, and spending time with his kids and grandchildren, attending their events. Ron died on Monday, August 19, 2024, at the English Valley Care Center, at the age of 78 years.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis of Millersburg; daughter Shari (Joel) Schnebbe; sons Lon (Carol) Kinzler of Washington Courthouse, Ohio, Dennis (Leanne) Kinzler of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and Neal (Laurie) Kinzler of Wayland; twelve grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren and a brother (Myron) Kinzler of Williamsburg. He was preceded by his parents; a sister Jeanne Jones; great grandchildren Avery Kinzler and Snow Kinzler; a brother-in-law Leighton Jones and a sister-in-law Marlys Kinzler.

A celebration of life service will be held 10:00 am on Monday, August 26, 2024, at the Victor Baptist Church, in Victor. The service will be live on the Powell Funeral Home Facebook Page. Burial will follow in the Millersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm, at the Powell Funeral Home in North English. A general memorial fund has been established.
