Ronald Eugene Davis was born October 21, 1942 in Washington, Iowa the son of Virgil and Kathleen (Whetstine) Davis. He graduated from Wellman High School. He worked at Shenk Nursing Home, Wellman Manufacturing, and for the City of Wellman. Ronald was united in marriage to Connie Jo Brown on July 31, 1965 in Kinross. Connie passed away September 19, 1983. He later married Deborah Cole, and they later divorced. Ronald served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. Ronald passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 at his home in Wellman at the age of 69 years. Ronald is survived by two sons - Mark (Angela) Davis of Iowa City; Ron (Shelly McArtor) Davis Jr of Kalona; two daughters - Sarah Davis of Wellman; and Gina Cooper of Wellman; two grandchildren- Audri Ann Davis and Preston Lee Davis; two brothers- Kenneth (Sheryl) Davis of Oskaloosa and Virgil (Chris) Davis Jr of Iowa City. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, a sister Phyllis Davis and two infants.
