Robert L. Weber

KEOTA-Robert L. Weber, age 85, of Keota, died Monday, April 24, 2023, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
    Robert was born December 7, 1937, in Sigourney, to Henry and Evelyn (Sieren) Weber and graduated from Sigourney High School.  On December 15, 1956, he married Bonny J. Allar in Sigourney.  Robert farmed in Webster for Clarence and Dorothy Sieren for 28 years, then farmed for John Huber for several years.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Kinross until it closed, then became a member of Holy Trinity Parish.  Robert was a 4th Degree in the Knights of Columbus and also served on the Webster Volunteer Fire Department.  Robert enjoyed his family and teasing his grandchildren.
    Survivors include his wife: Bonny of Keota; six children: Debra (Jim) Bates of Urbandale, Paul (Ann) Weber of Ames, Randy (Cindy Albert) Weber of Sigourney, Alan (Rose) Weber of South Sioux City, Nebraska, Wendy (Brian) Eckhart of Windsor Heights and Jenny (Rob) Milligan of Clive; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one brother: Ron (Carolyn) Weber of Washington and seven sisters: Pat Osterhaudt of Concord, California, Linda Bell of South Bend, Indiana, Rose Egan of Burlington, Holly Martin of Sigourney, Sandra Johnson of Washington, Cindy (Curt) Paulsen of Oskaloosa and Ramona Weber of Sigourney.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Ricky and brother: James Weber.

    Memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Holy Trinity Parish - St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota, with Rev. Charles Fladung officiating.  Burial will be at a later date at Holy Trinity Cemeteries - St. Mary’s Cemetery in Keota.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the church.
