KEOTA-Robert Thomas "Tut Tut" Mills, age 54, of Keota, died Saturday, December 19, 2009, at Maplewood Manor in Keota. Bob was born December 4, 1955, in Washington, Iowa, to Thomas B. and Shirley (Duncan) Mills. He graduated from Keota High School and the University of Northern Iowa, with a degree in Drafting. Bob married Nancy Crawford and raised her daughter, Jessi, as his own. He and Nancy were later divorced. Bob was a salesman for Ray-Man for many years. A Keota resident most of his life, Bob lived in Washington for 16 years before returning to his hometown. He enjoyed weight lifting, camping, shooting, NASCAR and going to races at Hawkeye Downs and Newton. Bob loved life and people, and was very kind and good-hearted. Survivors include his parents: Tom and Shirley Mills of Keota; four children: Jessi Miller and Ryan Mills, both of Cedar Rapids and Sierra Mills and Danielle Mills, both of Washington; 2 grandchildren: Justin and Madison Miller; sister: Debra Mills-Stigers and husband Dan of Washington; brother: Steve Mills and friend Kim Gatliff of Minneapolis, Minnesota; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by one brother: Michael Mills and two sisters: Sherri Mills and Angela Mills, all in infancy. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at Holy Trinity Parish - St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota, with Rev. Charles Fladung officiating. Burial will be at Keota Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota, where the family will be present from 2 until 4 and 7 until 8. There will be a time of sharing at 7:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for Iowa City Hospice or a trust fund for Bob's children. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Keota is caring for Bob and his family.
