Robert R. "Bob" Kerr, 65, of Paragon, IN, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, IA, died Sunday, May 3, 2009, at his home, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Mr. Kerr's body has been cremated. No local services will be held. Born September 3, 1943, in Mt. Pleasant, IA, Bob was the son of Raymond H. and Lusena (Gilyeart) Kerr. He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. Mr. Kerr worked as an industrial engineer and was employed by C. E. Cast of Cleveland, OH. While employed there, he traveled the world working on various projects. Mr. Kerr returned to Mt. Pleasant in 1982, where he owned and operated the Sater Blacksmith Shop. In 1989, he began working for Navistar in Indianapolis, IN. He retired from Navistar in 2005. Survivors include his wife Roxanne Kerr of Paragon, IN; one daughter, Jennifer Kohorst of Mt. Pleasant, IA; and three grandsons, Kieran, Keegan and Kellen Kohorst all of Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Kerr was preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law, Keith Kohorst.
