Robert Hoaglin

Robert J. Hoaglin, 70, of Iowa City, formerly of Hillsboro, died Monday, August 5, 2024, at Iowa City Rehab and Health Center.

Robert was born March 30, 1954, in Mount Pleasant, the son of Donald and Reva (Johnson) Hoaglin. He graduated from Van Buren High School. Robert married Linda Borland, the couple had three children together, and later divorced. He worked at a steel mill in Houghton and farmed. Robert made his home in Hillsboro before moving to the Iowa City community in December of 1992.

Robert is survived by three children, Shawn Borland of Las Vegas, NV, Beth (Quinn) Brown of Iowa City, BJ (Jermain) Adams of Coralville; 15 grandchildren; mother Reva Helmuth of Coralville; two brothers, Jeff and Darrell Hoaglin; and sister Shari Maulson. He was preceded in death by his father.

Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2024, in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. The Olson-Powell Chapel & Crematory is caring for Robert and his family.
