Robert W. (Bob) Graber, 60, of New London, Iowa, died Saturday, February 28, 2009, at his home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, beginning after 12 noon, at the Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel, where the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. that evening. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at 10:30 a.m., at the Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Robert Hartzler officiating. Burial will be at North Hill Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Fellowship Cup. Born December 28, 1948, in Mt. Pleasant, IA, Bob was the son of Warren J. and H. Dorothy Davis Graber. He was a 1967 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and served in the Iowa National Guard for six years. Bob graduated from the University of Iowa College of Engineering in 1975. He worked as an engineer for Chicago Telephone Supply-Knights in Sandwich, IL, and Allen-Bradley, Inc. in Wisconsin, Indiana, and Texas. Bob also worked for Teledyne and NASA Jet Propulsion Lab in California and most recently for the American Ordnance in Middletown, IA. Bob was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed tinkering on his old cars and watching all types of auto racing, especially sprint cars. He also enjoyed gardening and other outdoor activities at his home. Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Graber of Mt. Pleasant, IA; two brothers, Ron (Doc) of Mt. Pleasant, IA, and Gary of Seattle, WA; two nieces, Carly Graber of Claremont, CA, and Renee of Mt. Pleasant, IA; and one nephew, Glen Graber of Mt. Pleasant, IA. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mr. Graber was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
