KEOTA-Richard "Dick" Stoutner, age 66, of Keota, died Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Dick was born February 28, 1947, in Washington, to Burl "Brooks" and Loretta (Ossman) Stoutner and graduated from Keota High School in 1965 and Iowa State University. On December 29, 1978, he married Marlene Masbruch in Iowa City. Dick was a sales rep for American Cyanamid for most of his adult life. He then worked at the John Deere implement dealer in Sigourney and United Suppliers in Washington before retiring. Dick enjoyed traveling, sports and visiting with people. Survivors include his wife: Marlene of Keota; three children: Rebecca (Shawn) Larkin of North Liberty, Rikki (Jared) Anhorn of Kansas City and Matthew (Sarah) Stoutner of Deep River; two grandchildren: Eve Stoutner and Shelby Larkin; brother: Lynn Stoutner of Ames and sister: Barbara (Rick) Calhoon of Worthington, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents and three grandchildren: Ryan, Alexis and Colbie Anhorn. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 3, 2014, at the United Church of Faith in Keota, with Pastor Sheldon Henderson officiating. Burial will be at Keota Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota. A memorial fund has been established for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
