Randy (Moose) Ingwersen, 57, of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, passed away July 9, 2008, unexpectedly at the Henry County Health Center. Visitation for Mr. Ingwersen will be held on Friday, July 11, 2008, at the Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel beginning after 12:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Duke Crawford officiating. Mr. Ingwersen's body will be cremated following the service. Burial will be held in the White Oak Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials have been established. Born March 28, 1951, in Burlington, IA, Randall Lynn Ingwersen was the son of Raymond C. and Pauline M. Messer Ingwersen. He grew up in the Mt. Pleasant area and attended Mt. Pleasant Community School. On May 11, 1974, Randy married Ardith Hill in Oquawka, IL. She survives. Randy was self employed as a drywall/finisher. He worked for a short time for S.S.S. Foundry and Excide Battery Plant in Burlington. Randy enjoyed deer hunting and was a Nascar and Sprint racing fan. He especially loved spending time with his family. Along with his wife, Ardith, survivors include one son Kevin Carpenter of Fairfield, IA, and one daughter Kimberly (Rick) Pace of Chariton, IA. Also surviving are three brothers, Jerry (Clara) Ingwersen and Darrell Ingwersen of Mt. Pleasant, IA, and Roy Ingwersen, Sr. of Keosauqua, IA; three sisters, Janet (Jerry) Miller of Connersville, Indiana, Deloris (Charles) Wood of Malvern, Arkansas, and Martha (Lester) Garrison of Rome, IA. He is survived by two grandsons, Jesse and Joshua, and two great-granddaughters, Juliana and Haylee, along with nieces and nephews. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and two brothers, Roger Ingwersen, Sr. and an infant brother.
