KEOTA-Phyllis Lyle, age 93, of Washington, formerly of Keota, died Friday, June 2, 2017, at her home.
Phyllis was born May 21, 1924, in Washington, to William and Armorelle (McCreedy) Miller and graduated from Keota High School in 1941. On August 1, 1946, she married Richard Lyle at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She and Richard farmed in the Keota area, where Phyllis was an active member of the United Church of Faith, Church Women United and the LGV Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include six children: Lila (Arlyn) Midtgaard of Hanlontown, Ron (Christy) Lyle of Mesa, Arizona, Nancy (Ed) Crites of Washington, Trent (Joy) Lyle of Keota, Patty (Bill) Treimer of Hartley and Sarah (Matt) Roegner of Beloit, Wisconsin; 20 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; two sisters: Betty Stoutner and Mary Lou Miller, both of Keota; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Richard; sons: Kevin in infancy and David and granddaughter: Jami Lynne Lyle.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at the United Church of Faith in Keota, with Rev. Mike Druhl officiating. Burial will be at Keota Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, June 5, 2017, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota.
