Peggy J Rice

Peggy Jean Rice, 69, of Mount Pleasant passed Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Arbor Court.

Peggy was born October 9, 1952, the daughter of Dennis and Martha Combs.  She graduated from Burlington High School.  On May 21, 1970, Peggy was united in marriage to Ronald Rice.  She managed the Homeless Shelter in Burlington for many years.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Veronica (Charles) Gonzalez of Burlington; her son, Matthew (Melody) Rice of Antioch, California; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister Julie Anderson of Mount Pleasant; and three brothers, Teddy Combs, Danny Combs, and Duffy Combs all of Burlington.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date.  The Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mount Pleasant is caring for Peggy and her family.
