Pearl L. VanVoltenburg

Kinross- Pearl LaVonne Van Voltenburg was born February 9, 1932 in Monticello, Iowa the daughter of Aubrey and Eunice (Grover) Appleby. She graduated from Monticello Public High School in 1950. On November 29, 1950 Pearl was united in marriage to Ralph Leonard Van Voltenburg in Iowa City. She worked for Country Lane for 10 years, retiring in 1986. Pearl was a member of the Kinross Christian Church, Red Hats, and Ladies Group at Kinross Church. She enjoyed gardening. Pearl passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 at the English Valley Care Center in North English at the age of 83 years.

Pearl is survived by four children: Jerry Van Voltenburg, of Kinross, Ronald (Sharon) Van Voltenburg of Grinnell, Sue Proenneke of Stockport, Iowa and Diana Toomer of South English; 10 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; a sisters Joyce Bemrose of Monticello. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995, parents, grandson Chad Van Voltenburg, a sister Audrey Lloyd.

Celebration Of Life Service will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. Burial will be 2:00 PM Wednesday February 10, 2016 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Anamosa, Iowa. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. A memorial fund has been established for the Kinross Christian Church.
