KEOTA-Pauline Dill, age 95, of Keota, died Thursday, July 22, 2010, at the Washington County Hospital. Pauline was born June 18, 1915, in Wellman, Iowa, to Frank L. and Cora O. (King) Hicks. She graduated from Wellman High School in 1934 and took one year of Business Training in Iowa City. On January 18, 1939 she married Glen "Whitie" Dill in Sigourney. Pauline was a secretary for an attorney in Wellman seven years, Keota High School seven years and retired from Pioneer Mutual Insurance Association in 1984 after 16 years of employment. She was a member of the United Church of Faith in Keota and Women United and enjoyed reading and handiwork. Survivors include two sons: Jerry L. Dill and wife Ruth Ann of Cedar Rapids and William G. "Bill" Dill and wife Jackie of Grinnell; daughter-in-law: Elizabeth "Betty" Dill of Keota; six grandsons; eight great grandchildren and one nephew: Sam Hicks of Murray, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1980; son: Ronald Dill in 1984 and two brothers: Marvin and Darwin Hicks. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2010, at the United Church of Faith in Keota, with Rev. Dennis Hopes officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Keota Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for the Ron Dill Memorial Field or Keota QRS. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Keota is caring for Pauline and her family.
