Paul Peppers

Paul Peppers, 70, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, died Thursday, September 18, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. The body has been cremated. There will be private services at a later date. Born March 17, 1944 in Allen, OK, Paul David was the son of Walter and Linda (Miller) Peppers. He attended school in Haileyville, OK. He married Susan Kay Wheeler on January 20, 1978 in Mt. Pleasant. She preceded him in death on November 9, 2013. For several years Paul did factory work as a grinder at Lomont Molding in Mt. Pleasant. A talented wood craftsman, Paul enjoyed working with wood. He loved to attend flea markets and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia (Todd) Wales of Burlington, IA; two step-sons, Martin Hahn of Mt. Pleasant and Rick Hahn of Weslaco, TX; a step-daughter, LaVonda Hahn of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers, Howard (Linda) Peppers of Sacramento, CA, and Clem (Karla) Peppers of Mcalester, OK; and two sisters, Mary Sue Henderson of Tulsa, OK and Linda (Edward) Camp of Mcalester, OK. Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Susan; a son, Stephen Dale; a sister, Waldean; and three brothers, James, Ellis and Gene.
